  • Sleeping Cars: First Class Viewliner® service New York-Albany-Chicago
    • Complimentary meals.
    • In-room bottled water.
    • Wake-up service with a newspaper and coffee, tea and orange juice.
    • Amtrak's Metropolitan Lounge®/Club Acela® available in Chicago, New York, and Boston for First Class passengers.
    • Check with Amtrak for date to resume Coach and Sleeping Car service between BOS-ALB-CHI
  • Dining Car -- Full meal service on Trains 48 and 49 between Chicago and New York.
  • Lounge Car -- Sandwiches, snacks and beverages, New York - Chicago
  • Cafe -- Sandwiches, snacks and beverages, Boston - Albany.
  • Smoking -- Smoking is not permitted on these trains. Passengers may smoke on station platforms as announced by train crews, and must remain next to the train, ready to board immediately upon hearing the locomotive horn and verbal ``All Aboard'' calls.
  • Checked baggage:
    • Handled at New York, Boston (South Sta.), Worcester, Springfield, Albany-Rensselaer, Schenectady, Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Cleveland, Toledo, South Bend, and Chicago.
    • Accompanied hand baggage only may be checked to Detroit, Dearborn and Ann Arbor via Thruway Bus Connection.
