The accompanying text was taken from published media reports, official railroad and union documents which were supplied to us by Mr. MacDonald's family. I want to thank his wife Bessie and daughter Connie for their help in assembling these images and documents. Credit has been given to the news papers and reporters as we have them. Throughout all the press reports, we found many errors, from the date of the accident, Mr. MacDonald's years of service and even the spelling of his name. We have tried to fix as many of these errors as we could find, but I suspect a few are still here.
