Thunder Mountain Line: Cascade, ID. The history of the Thunder Mountain Line dates back to more than a century ago. The Union Pacific operated this branch line as part of their Oregon Short Line Division until the Idaho Northern and Pacific Railroad purchased the railroad in 1993. (6-16-05)

The site is the 1904 passenger and freight station erected at the junction of the Grand Rapids and Indiana (north/south) RR and the Grand Trunk and Western (east/west) RR.
